It has been confirmed that the movie Bad Moms will be returning in 2017 for a Christmas sequel.
A Bad Moms Christmas will see Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn reprise their roles, with Jon Lucas and Scott Moore once again writing and directing. The sequel will find the trio struggling to deal with the stress of the festive season, including visits from their own mothers.
Adam Fogelson, Chairman of the STX Entertainment Motion Picture Group announced the news via a statement. “This is a brand that has enormous goodwill all over the world, so expanding and extending the BAD MOMS franchise in an authentic and irreverent way has been a priority for our team. Jon and Scott have a truly hysterical story that was pure perfection,” he said. “Mila, Kristen and Kathryn are excited to re-team, and we will move forward with A BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS on a similar time table and in much the same way in which we produced the original.”
Kristen Bell, who stars as Kiki, also confirmed the news via Twitter.

STX Entertainment confirmed earlier this year that they would also be branching out with a spin-off movie all about fathers. Bad Dads is set for release on July 14 2017, although no casting has been confirmed yet.
The original Bad Moms movie was a comedy box office hit earlier this year, taking $180 million worldwide on a $20 million budget. The movie saw Amy (Mila Kunis) reach breaking point with her life, before joining forces with two other over-worked and over-stressed moms, to free themselves from their traditional responsibilities.
Here’s a look at just some of the crazy antics our favourite Bad Moms got up to in the first film.
A Bad Moms Christmas is set for release on November 3, 2017.
